Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The controller for data processing in connection with the "Inside D" app and the inside-d.com website is the operator of Inside D, based in Sweden. Full operator details (company name and registered address) will be added here once the operating company has been incorporated.

2. Overview

Inside D is an information app for field hockey leagues. Using it requires no user account and no registration. We collect as little personal data as possible.

3. Retrieving match data (connection data)

On launch and during use, the app loads fixtures, results and standings from our database provider Supabase (Supabase Inc.). For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted and processed for the duration of the connection.

Purpose: delivering the app's content
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technical provision of the service)
Recipient: Supabase Inc. as processor
Retention: IP addresses are not stored permanently by us

Fonts are bundled with the app; no fonts or other content are loaded from Google servers at runtime.

4. Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

If you enable push notifications, the app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

A device token (unique device identifier) is generated and transmitted to Google.
Your favourite teams are linked to this token as topic subscriptions (topic keyed by team identifier), so you only receive notifications for your teams.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You give consent via the system permission prompt and can withdraw it at any time in the app settings or your device's system settings.
Data may be transferred to the USA (Google LLC); Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

5. Data stored locally

Your favourites (leagues and teams), language setting and notification settings are stored exclusively on your device (except for the topic subscriptions described in section 4). We have no access to this data. It is deleted when you uninstall the app.

6. Player data in line-ups and match reports

The app displays the names of players as well as match events (goals, cards, line-ups) as published officially by the respective leagues and federations.

Purpose: sports reporting on public league matches
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in informing the public about official competitive play). The data comes exclusively from publicly accessible official sources of the leagues and federations.
Only data from adult competitions (senior leagues) is processed.

Right to object: Affected players may object to the display of their name at any time (Art. 21 GDPR). Please contact the email address above; we will review the objection without delay and remove the name unless compelling legitimate grounds for the processing prevail.

7. No analytics or advertising services

The app currently uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services.

8. Your rights

Regarding your personal data, you have the following rights against us:

9. Changes to this privacy policy

We will update this privacy policy whenever the data processing in the app changes (e.g. when new features are introduced). The current version is always available in the app under "More → Privacy" and at inside-d.com.
